Position Description:
Client is currently seeking an Engineering Specialist for the development and implementation of Real-Time System and Decision Support System (DSS) for the Oil & Gas and manufacturing industry, specifically in business intelligence, integration architecture, and integration applications. The engineer will work closely with the Oil &Gas, Refining, and other engineering experts to develop and deploy DSS solutions. The position includes integrating real-time data into enterprise applications, Web Service Development, SOA, Data Visualization, 3D Asset Virtualization and Alarming & Event Detection.
The job requires knowledge of the Oil &Gas industry to understand experts' needs, language, technology, and approach to technical issues and therefore should be experienced in discussing, with client management to engineering staff, the major issues that are driving initiatives in the industry. The successful candidate will have experience in operation, inspection, maintenance, and administration of installed Real-time Data/application Integration infrastructure including OSIsoft PI Data Historian, and other associated data/application integration and presentation tools and applications

Minimum Requirement:
As a successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering with minimum of 10 years' experience in the Real-time Systems and Automation area. You should be experienced in Information Systems such as Real-Time data historians (eg OSIsoft PI system, Honeywell PKS, Aspentech IP.21, Yokogawa Exaquantum) and have experience related to application interfaces in Process Control environment.
You should be able to interpret business requirements, capable of architecting solutions, develop data mapping and modeling, develop technology specifications, and have good analysis skills. In addition, candidate should possess good knowledge of application and data integration and off-the shelf decision support systems packages related to Oil & Gas and Manufacturing processing environment. This includes the knowledge of Microsoft SQL Analysis, Reporting and Integration Services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Provides expert advice and assistance to Company organizations, outside vendors, manufacturers, and design firms on matters relating to his area of expertise.
Originates and carries out engineering studies to determine potential problems and remedies to existing problems resolve complex technical problems, increase revenue, optimize processes, protect the environment, or improve safety.
Develops and maintains Company Engineering Standards and Design Best Practices, Design Manuals or other documentation to enhance company profitability, safety and productivity.
Evaluates and introduces best practices and new technologies from all over the world to help the Company achieve Best in Class positions in the oil business.
Reviews and evaluates the capabilities of vendors and contractors to determine their acceptability to perform major services to Company. Acts as Company's representative in dealings with vendors and manufacturers pertaining to his field of experience.
Works on or with Task Forces assigned to investigate incidents or solve specific problems. Performs cost analyses and Value Engineering studies as appropriate. Undertakes special assignments requiring extensive technical experience and discretion when dealing with outside organizations.
Conducts seminars in the resolution of technical problems with personnel in other Engineering organizations. Writes papers for peer-reviewed journals on engineering studies and projects he has overseen.
Provides engineering leadership to others assigned to assist him. Acts as a professional mentor to less senior specialists and engineers.
Promotes a learning environment and implements self-development to maintain and improve expert status within his engineering specialty.
